Cost of college went up for all students at Atlanta Technical College

In-state tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at Atlanta Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $2,820 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $4 more than the $2,816 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 75.7 percent more than residents this year, or $4,956. Their price tag grew 0.1 percent from $4,952 in 2017-18.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 342 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 179 students took out student loans totaling more than $608,018.

Including all undergraduates (3,562), 3,420 students used grants or scholarships totaling $17.5 million, and 2,270 students took out $9.5 million in federal student loans.
