Bill Todd, a professor at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business and an alumnus with a degree in Industrial Management, has announced the creation of a new scholarship for students. This initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to support the next generation through the Todd Family Fund.

The Grady Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Scholarship was inspired by Todd's interactions with EMTs and his student, Lianna Homrich. Homrich, who is studying pre-med Biology, shared her experiences as an EMT with Central EMS and her involvement with EMS at Tech, a student organization focused on emergency medical services.

Todd's conversations with Homrich highlighted the need for further support in this area. His personal experiences being transported by Grady ambulances also contributed to his decision to establish this scholarship.

"Like many Georgia Tech professors," Todd spends time discussing career aspirations with students after class. His interest in EMS at Tech led him to identify a gap that he wanted to address through this scholarship.
