Atlanta United is in Bradenton, Florida, for preseason training as they prepare for their home opener against CF Montréal. The team will engage in three more closed friendlies with MLS opponents before the season begins. Head coach Ronny Deila's squad includes both new and seasoned players adapting to a different environment.

The focus of the preseason camp is on growth and understanding Deila's system. Players like Luis Abram and Luke Brennan have shared insights into how training sessions are shaping the team's readiness. "They’re two young players with a lot of talent and they’ve grown a lot over the last couple years," Abram said about younger defenders Noah Cobb and Efraín Morales.

Training emphasizes passing, connectivity, and possession to support offensive play. "First, to try to instill the way that the coach wants to play, and to try to do that as fast as possible," Abram stated regarding the urgency of mastering these skills.

Mentorship plays a significant role during this period. New signings Miguel Almirón and Emmanuel Latte Lath are expected not only to contribute on the field but also guide younger talents like Brennan. "I learned to always be active and always be on the move," Brennan mentioned about his learning experiences from teammates.

Brennan values his relationship with Almirón, seeing it as crucial for his development: "I remember looking at him, and I was hoping one day I could become like him." This mentorship is seen as vital for building team chemistry.

"As a team, learning relationships is also very important," Brennan emphasized. Atlanta United aims high this season with strong internal dynamics driven by player relationships.
