Atlanta United secured a 2-0 victory against Birmingham Legion FC in their second preseason match of 2025. This win marked the team's fifth triumph over Birmingham, showcasing improvements in both possession and aggression compared to their previous friendly.

Head coach Ronny Deila's squad demonstrated increased fitness and physicality throughout the match. The first half was dominated by Atlanta United's high press, which resulted in a goal by Cayman Togashi in the 25th minute following a cross from Ronald Hernández. Edwin Mosquera played a crucial role with his dribbling skills, drawing fouls that led to scoring opportunities.

The midfield trio of Will Reilly, Bartosz Slisz, and Jay Fortune controlled possession effectively, winning back the ball swiftly after losing it. Ronan Wynne impressed at right-back with his attacking overlaps and chemistry with Luke Brennan on the right flank.

In the second half, an own goal by a Birmingham defender sealed Atlanta's victory. Alexey Miranchuk set up Saba Lobjanidze for a cross that led to the mishap. Dominick Chong Qui made notable defensive contributions early in the half, while Brennan continued to create chances.

Despite numerous opportunities, Atlanta failed to capitalize further but maintained consistent pressure throughout both halves. Goalkeeper Brad Guzan made key saves during active sequences, ensuring a clean sheet.
