Emory Johns Creek Hospital celebrated the completion of its expansion with two new floors, a new parking deck and 40 more beds.
The expansion at Emory Johns Creek Hospital includes large windows to allow in natural daylight, LED lighting and controls, and low-emitting interior finishes. The sixth floor is now home to 40 medical, surgical and oncology patient rooms and three nurses’ stations, while the fifth floor houses office and additional shell space, the hospital said.
"It was a great honor to join the celebration of the Emory Johns Creek Hospital's new expansion today. The hospital is opening a sixth floor featuring 40 new oncology, medical and intermediate patient beds, along with three new nurses’ stations. The project broke ground in June 2020 and adds approximately 70,000 square feet to the existing patient tower," Rep. Angelika Kausche said on Facebook.

A ribbon cutting was held on June 9 at the hospital to commemorate the expansion, the hospital reported.
"Our main commitment is to provide efficient, compassionate world-class care to help patients heal, close to home "This expansion also gives Emory Johns Creek Hospital additional opportunities to innovate, educate and serve as a vital part of our community," Emory Johns Creek Hospital CEO Marilyn Margolis said in the announcement.
The shell space will remain as is for now, but the new parking deck with its 640 parking spaces, offering free parking to patients and visitors, is open, Emory Johns Creek Hospital said.
