On February 19, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce organized the 2025 Future of Talent Summit in Atlanta. The event, cohosted with the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, took place at the Rialto Center for the Arts and focused on "Reimagining Education and Talent Development."
The summit featured speakers such as University System of Georgia Chancellor Sonny Perdue and other prominent figures in education and economic development. Georgia Power was the presenting sponsor.
Beth Lowry, President and CEO of Holder Construction and Co-Chair of the Center for Workforce and Talent Preparedness at the Georgia Chamber Foundation, emphasized the importance of workforce readiness: “The Georgia Chamber and the Center for Workforce and Talent Preparedness have consistently heard that having the number one issue for businesses is having the talent and workforce they need. Hosting the Future of Talent Summit ensures that at every level, Georgia is working to meet any workforce challenges in our future.”
Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, highlighted future workforce diversity: “The workforce 25 years from now is going to be the most diverse, international, and connected workforce in history, and Georgia must prepare our students now for the careers of the future.”
Dana Rickman, President and CEO of Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, spoke about education's role in state prosperity: “The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education holds a deep conviction that Georgia’s future success and prosperity begin with education.”
The summit included various panels addressing topics like early learning, K-12 education innovations, technical education advancements, college developments, retraining programs, and statewide educational goals.
The event aligns with GEORGIA | 2050—a strategic plan by the Georgia Chamber aimed at sustaining economic opportunities over 25 years.
