Georgia Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 27.
The Georgia Chamber is hosting a series of virtual and safe, in-person planning events known collectively as the 2021 Reimagined New Georgia Economy Tour. Presented by Wells Fargo, the Reimagined New Georgia Economy Tour will gather input and data from all regions of the state to prepare a planning strategy for the future. The next stop will be held at the Silver Bluff Brewing Company on June 8, 2021 at 4:00 PM EST. Following this public forum, the Chamber will host a grand opening event for its third statewide office location, in Brunswick, in partnership with the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce.
“Our goal with the Reimagined Tour is to listen and collect information from hardworking Georgians that can help us plan a more resilient economy,” shared Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark. “Simultaneously, we are excited to officially open our third office location at the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber to better serve the businesses along the coast. As we plan for our future, our reach throughout the state is imperative to developing and advocating sound policies and priorities for the Georgia business community.
“Wells Fargo is proud to sponsor the Reimagined New Georgia Economy Tour,” said Chad Gregory, Wells Fargo Region Bank President. “We applaud the Chamber for recognizing the impact COVID-19 has had on businesses and the economy, and for setting the strategic course that will help keep Georgia as the No. 1 state to do business.”
Ralph Staffins, President & CEO of the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber added, “Our partnership with the Georgia Chamber will ensure broader support of the business community up and down the coast and we look forward to growing our economy as a result of this enhanced Chamber presence in our region.”
This program will be a one-of-a-kind opportunity to provide valuable feedback for planning purposes while celebrating the Georgia Chamber’s third office in the state, complimenting the Center for Rural Prosperity in Tifton and the Chamber’s headquarters in Atlanta. The Grand Opening celebration will be sponsored by the Coastal Area District Development Authority (CADDA).
“We are honored to sponsor the Georgia Chamber as the Reimagined Tour makes a stop in Coastal Georgia.” said Andrew Standard, Chief Executive Officer of CADDA. “Collaborative planning for the future of our great state is key to continued growth and we are excited to have a Georgia Chamber office opening right here in Brunswick.”
