Cost of college went up for all students at Morehouse College

Tuition and fees rose 1.1 percent for 2018-19 at Morehouse College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia students paid $27,576 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $298 more than the $27,278 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 92 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 502 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.8 million and 432 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,206), 1,681 students used grants or scholarships totaling $17.4 million, and 1,392 students took out $4.9 million in federal student loans.
