Pedro Amador, the Portuguese fullback for Atlanta United, is expected to return to action. He was not listed with an injury on the team's availability report released Friday ahead of their match against New York Red Bulls. Head coach Ronny Deila did not confirm if Amador would start but indicated that his exclusion from the injury list could mean he might play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Amador had been sidelined for the first two games of the season due to a hamstring injury, which also kept him out of preseason matches. Coach Deila remarked on Thursday that Amador's return would significantly bolster squad depth and enhance the team's capabilities in wide areas.

Despite this positive development, Atlanta United remains without two other fullbacks. Brooks Lennon has not played this season as he recovers from a shoulder injury sustained during last fall's Eastern Conference Semifinals. Ronald Hernández suffered a quad injury after starting in the opener against CF Montréal. Forward Jamal Thiaré is also dealing with a quad injury and will miss Saturday's game.

In related news, Dominik Chong Qui has signed his third short-term agreement with Atlanta United this season. The 17-year-old fullback made his MLS debut as a substitute in a previous match against Charlotte and will be available for selection against Red Bulls.
