Atlanta United will embark on its first road trip of the 2025 season, traveling up I-85 to face Charlotte FC. The match will take place at Bank of America Stadium, which is set to be at full capacity. Atlanta began their season with a victory, as 65,520 fans witnessed a thrilling 3-2 win over CF Montréal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The rivalry between Atlanta and Charlotte has been competitive, with both teams evenly matched in their previous six encounters. Saturday's game is expected to continue this trend.

Home Depot presents the "Tools to the Match," focusing on key strategies for Atlanta United against Charlotte FC.

Atlanta aims to build offensive chemistry following a strong performance in their opener where they scored three goals. New signing Latte Lath made an immediate impact by scoring twice and showing his capabilities throughout the match. Saba Lobjanidze led in creating chances, while Miguel Almirón and Alexey Miranchuk contributed effectively in midfield. Despite some missed connections, further gameplay should improve their cohesion.

Charlotte FC enters the match after securing a draw against Seattle without new addition Wilfried Zaha, who brings experience from top European leagues. Zaha's presence is expected to enhance Charlotte's attack alongside Patrick Agyemang, who had a standout season last year. Atlanta's defense must maintain communication and coordination to counter these threats.

Consistency over the full duration of matches remains crucial for Atlanta. Last week's win highlighted contrasting halves; they dominated early but became vulnerable defensively later on. Head coach Ronny Deila emphasized maintaining compactness: “In the second half, I was not as happy with it because we lost momentum in the match... We have to take the first half performance and do that for longer period to be considered a really good team.”

By replicating their first-half form from last week and capitalizing on opportunities, Atlanta hopes to secure three points away from home this weekend.
