The Atlanta Falcons narrowly missed having two wide receivers each surpass 1,000 yards in a single season for the first time in over a decade. Drake London achieved 1,271 yards, while Darnell Mooney ended with 992 yards after being sidelined for the final game due to a shoulder injury. The last time this feat was accomplished by Falcons players was in 2012 by Roddy White and Julio Jones.

Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson praised London's and Mooney's performances, stating, "They've done a great job... Their skill sets complement each other really well." He highlighted their intelligence and competitive nature as contributing factors to their successful seasons.

Both receivers worked with two different quarterbacks throughout the season: veteran Kirk Cousins until Week 15 and rookie Michael Penix Jr. thereafter. London's yardage marked his career high since joining the team in 2022, while Mooney recorded his second-best total since entering the NFL in 2020.

Penix expressed confidence in his teammates' abilities, saying earlier this month, "Those are two good guys, and I feel like they're some of the best in the league."

Looking ahead to next season, one key question is whether Rondale Moore will return to the team. Acquired from Arizona Cardinals last offseason, Moore showed promise before a knee injury during joint practices ended his season prematurely. Wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard described Moore as "a down-the-field player" with excellent route-running skills.

In addition to London and Mooney, notable returners include Ray-Ray McCloud III and Casey Washington. The Falcons face decisions regarding free agents such as Moore and KhaDarel Hodge.

Production highlights for 2024 include:

- Drake London: 17 starts | 100 receptions | 1,271 yards | 9 touchdowns

- Darnell Mooney: 16 starts | 64 receptions | 992 yards | 5 touchdowns

- Ray-Ray McCloud III: 13 starts | 62 receptions | 686 yards | 1 touchdown

The biggest question remains whether Rondale Moore will be part of the Falcons' plans moving forward into the next season.
