In recent discussions surrounding the Atlanta Falcons, fans have expressed curiosity about the team's roster and contract decisions for the upcoming 2025 season. Questions regarding players Bralen Trice and DeMarcco Hellams, as well as quarterback Kirk Cousins' contract situation, have been at the forefront.

Bralen Trice and DeMarcco Hellams were expected to contribute in the 2024 season but were unable to return due to injuries. "They are never mentioned because they were never cleared to return to action during the 2024 season," explained Tori McElhaney, a writer covering the Falcons. The uncertainty remains as to whether these players will make an impact in 2025 once cleared.

On Kirk Cousins' future with the team, McElhaney commented on the complexities involved: "I don't think it'll be as easy as some may think to work around Cousins' contract and the restraints it presents." With Cousins holding a no-trade clause, any potential trade would require his consent. The Falcons might seek draft capital in exchange if such a scenario arises.

The discussion also touched on General Manager Terry Fontenot's position amidst questions of job security. Despite challenges, Fontenot has maintained that building a "sustained winner" is his priority. While acknowledging that enough games haven't been won under his leadership yet, McElhaney noted, "I personally don't think things are as bad as they seem."

The Falcons face decisions regarding player development and strategic moves in order to enhance their competitiveness without disrupting their financial plans.
