Following the Atlanta Falcons' game against the Carolina Panthers and the conclusion of Week 18's late afternoon NFL games, the team's position for the 2025 NFL Draft has been determined. The Falcons, ending their season with an 8-9 record, have secured the No. 15 pick in April's draft.

As only one game remains on Sunday night, the initial 18 spots for next year's draft are now established. The outcomes of the playoffs will decide the order of the remaining 14 picks.

This marks just the second occasion in franchise history that Atlanta holds the No. 15 pick. Previously, in 1972, they selected All-American defensive back Clarence Ellis from Notre Dame at this position. Ellis played nearly every game at free safety for Atlanta between 1972 and 1974, achieving eight interceptions and three fumble recoveries before retiring with the Denver Broncos in 1975. He later returned to Atlanta to work within the Dekalb County School District.

In recent history, during the 2023 NFL Draft, this same pick was held by the Indianapolis Colts who chose UCLA pass rusher Laiatu Latu. Latu was frequently speculated as a potential choice for Atlanta last offseason and completed his rookie year with notable statistics including four sacks and three forced fumbles.

The order for the first 18 picks of the upcoming draft is available via Tankathon.com.
