The Atlanta Falcons have announced that wide receiver Darnell Mooney will not play in the regular-season finale against the Carolina Panthers. Mooney was placed on the injury report Thursday with a shoulder issue, initially participating in a limited capacity before being sidelined for Friday's practice. Despite being labeled as questionable, he will miss the game.

Mooney's absence concludes his season just shy of 1,000 receiving yards, a milestone already achieved by teammate Drake London. Had Mooney reached this mark, it would have been the first time since 2012 that two Falcons receivers surpassed 1,000 yards in the same season.

With Mooney unavailable, KhaDarel Hodge and Chris Blair are expected to see increased roles in the receiving lineup. Rookie Casey Washington is also active after recovering from concussion protocol and has worked closely with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. throughout the season.

Defensively, cornerback Kevin King and linebacker JD Bertrand are both ruled out due to injuries. King has been dealing with a concussion while Bertrand has an eye injury. Both players have provided depth in their respective positions following other injuries within the team.

The complete list of inactive players for Week 18 includes:

- CB Kevin King

- ILB JD Bertrand

- DL Brandon Dorlus

- OL Elijah Wilkinson

- T Brandon Parker

- WR Darnell Mooney
