The Atlanta Falcons have initiated a weekly series in collaboration with Truist to introduce fans to the limited partners of the franchise. Over the next 11 weeks, AtlantaFalcons.com will feature a Q&A session with each of the 11 limited partners. These discussions aim to provide insights into their business experiences, cherished memories related to the Falcons, and more.

This week's spotlight is on Ed Mendel, co-founder of Ned Davis Research, Inc. (NDR) and Davis, Mendel & Regenstein, Inc. (DMR). Both firms are part of the Ned Davis Research Group, known for its significant influence in stock and bond research on Wall Street.

Mendel has been actively involved in various civic organizations and non-profits in Atlanta. His contributions include serving on boards such as B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO), Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, and Pace Academy where he holds a position as Life Trustee. Additionally, his philanthropic efforts extend to several other charities including the Jewish Home and Jewish Family & Career Services.

Mendel expressed his enthusiasm for becoming a limited partner with the Falcons: "Ever since I was a child, football has always been a central part of my life...when I was presented with the opportunity to become a limited partner of the Atlanta Falcons organization, I did not hesitate."

Reflecting on game days, Mendel shared: "Watching the players up close and personal is always fun...enjoying pregame festivities is always my favorite part."

In terms of career achievements, Mendel takes pride in sharing ownership with employees through an ESOP plan: "My biggest professional accomplishment that gives me the most pride is that my business partner...and I gave a big chunk of ownership in our company to our employees."

Mendel appreciates Atlanta's diversity: "One of the things about Atlanta that I think is special is that there is a huge amount of diversity." He also values its status as an economic center and sports hub.

When discussing personal influences, Mendel credits his wife Barbara: "Having the right life partner is the most important decision you will ever make." He also acknowledges Sanford Orkin for early support and Arthur Blank for his remarkable success and generosity.

As for his favorite player, Mendel names Roddy White: "Roddy White...is a great person and personality."
