FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- As the first week of training camp continues, the Atlanta Falcons increased the intensity during Friday's practice compared to the previous day.

Head coach Raheem Morris noted that both Grady Jarrett and Kirk Cousins have cleared their medical evaluations but will follow a modified rep plan throughout training camp. On Friday, Cousins engaged in additional warm-up exercises before joining regular drills, while Jarrett participated only in individual drills and was replaced by Eddie Goldman and LaCale London during higher-intensity 11-on-11 reps.

Drake London left practice early due to overheating, but it was described as a precautionary measure rather than a serious concern.

The NFL's Guardian Caps have evolved from bulky black caps to more compact white versions that reflect sunlight. This year, all players except quarterbacks are required to wear them. Kaleb McGary is using a helmet with internal padding that meets league requirements without needing an external Guardian Cap.

Receivers Rondale Moore and Casey Washington stood out during 11-on-11 drills. Moore's speed was particularly notable, especially when working out of the slot position.

The highlight of the morning occurred when Ray-Ray McCloud caught a deep pass from Cousins for a touchdown, drawing enthusiastic reactions from teammates.

Linebacker rotations continued to evolve with Nate Landman and Kaden Elliss starting together initially. Troy Andersen later joined situational work alongside Elliss. The green dot communication responsibilities varied between Elliss and Landman depending on who was on the field.

Special teams practice focused on new kickoff rules, experimenting with different returner pairings and kickers Younghoe Koo and Bradley Pinion. Returners included McCloud, Avery Williams, Mike Hughes, Rondale Moore, Dee Alford, Micah Abernathy, and Carlos Washington.
