67 coaches at institutions in Fulton County earned $363,273 on average in 2022

Fulton County’s 67 coaches earned an average salary of $363,273 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the second highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Georgia post-secondary schools during 2022.

Fulton County is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $793,603.

Male coaches of men's teams received $635,172 on average in Fulton County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $131,620.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
