Bogdan Bogdanovic, a swingman for the Atlanta Hawks, is having considerable success as the Hawks' best player in that role, scoring more than 20 points in four out of his last five games.
"I like his aggressiveness" Atlanta Hawks head coach Nate McMillan said. "He’s playing with the second unit and that allows him to play with the ball a little bit more. With him coming off the bench, we’ve been able to feature him."
Bogdanovic is in second place amongst all NBA bench players during February in both total points scored (156) and total three-point field goals made (30). The player recently told Atlanta coach McMillan that he finds it easier to find a rhythm for the game when he comes in to play off the bench, contributing to his success and prominence in that role. One of his strengths is stretching the floor for defenders, according to a report from NBA.com.
He is coming into this run of quality play fresh off of a knee injury in January. According to a report from NBA.com, the Hawks will need a fast finish to the season in order to make the playoffs and quality bench play such as this could be a key to meeting that goal.
