The Atlanta Hawks have inked veteran guard Chris Clemons to a 10-day contract to fill out a depleted roster.
Clemons, who most recently played for the Maine Celtics, Boston's NBA G League affiliate, will wear No. 39 with the team, the Hawks reported in a release.
In 14 games in Maine, Clemons averaged 16 points, five rebounds and four assists in nearly 28 minutes a night, the Hawks reported. In 11 of 14 outings, the 5-foot-9-inch guard netted at least double figures.
Despite not being drafted by the NBA in 2019, Clemons signed with the Houston Rockets, where he averaged 4.9 points in 33 games, the Hawks reported. He scored a career-best 19 points on 7-11 shooting from the floor, including 5-9 sniping from behind the three-point arch in 28 minutes of action on Nov. 16, 2019.
At the same time as the Clemons signing, the Hawks also inked forward Cameron Oliver, who will wear No. 49.
Oliver arrives after a most recent stint with the NBA G League's South Bay Lakers, where he started 6 of 14 games, averaging 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in nearly 28 minutes of action, the Hawks reported.
