The 18th ranked Georgia Tech volleyball netted its highest-ranked win in school history on Oct. 10, knocking off second-ranked Pittsburgh on the road 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 15-9.

The Yellow Jackets, who closed out Pitt with a game-clinching 6-0 run in the final game and never trailed, now owns two top-five wins in program history with the other coming nearly two decades ago at No. 5 Nebraska in 2003.

Against the ACC rival Georgia Tech, junior outside hitter Julia Bergmann led the way with 24 kills, two aces, six digs and four blocks. Plenty of help came from senior right-side hitter Mariana Brambilla (19 kill, four digs, three blocks) and senior setter Matti McKissock (58 assists).

The Yellow Jackets (13-3, 4-2 ACC) are now unbeaten in six road matches and have won 45 of their last 54 matches dating back to 2019.

Up next for Georgia Tech is a trip to Clemson for a Wednesday night meeting. The Jackets return to O’Keefe Gymnasium to host Duke on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m.
