Later that day, Congresswoman Williams addressed staffing decisions impacting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She criticized President Trump's administration for its approach to public health. “Another round of reckless cuts at the #CDC. With every firing, Trump reminds the world he does not care about public health," she asserted, mentioning her leadership role among 29 colleagues calling for reversing cuts to the Department of Health and Human Services, describing it as “a threat to our safety.”

In another tweet on the same day, Williams marked a new record set by Senator Booker on the Senate floor. She acknowledged his efforts in standing up for civil rights, “24 hours on the Senate floor. @SenBooker just broke the record of a man who stood in the way of our civil rights," she wrote, concluding with her appreciation for his persistence.
