Atlanta United saw two of its players recognized for their performances in Matchday 6 of the Major League Soccer season. Emmanuel Latte Lath and Miguel Almirón have been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following the team's dramatic 4-3 victory over New York City FC.

Latte Lath's significant contributions included scoring the winning goal in the 84th minute, as well as an earlier goal and assist. He assisted Alexey Miranchuk, providing the setup for Atlanta's equalizer. He later intercepted a pass intended for New York City FC's goalkeeper and chipped it in for the final goal of the match.

Almirón was credited with a key performance, including a headed goal that helped Atlanta tie the game in the 75th minute. Playing centrally, he completed 92.9% of his passes and made six progressive passes to advance the ball according to FBRef.com.

The Paraguayan and Ivorian forwards, acquired during the offseason, have both made impactful contributions to their team this season. Almirón’s influence was most evident in the game's second half, while Latte Lath's consistent performances have also landed him on the Team of the Matchday for the second time this season.

This recent recognition follows his earlier Team of the Matchday appearance after Matchday 1 against CF Montréal, marking him as Atlanta United's leading scorer this season. His and Almirón's performances are central to Atlanta's success thus far.
