Atlanta United's training session at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground saw only 14 outfield players on the pitch, a clear sign of the ongoing international break. The club is proud to have many players representing their countries, but this has affected their training numbers and will impact their upcoming match against FC Cincinnati. Head coach Ronny Deila emphasized the importance of readiness among all team members: “Everyone needs to be ready and needs to want [it],” said Xande Silva.

The club's offseason signings, including stars like Miguel Almirón and Emmanuel Latte Lath, along with additions such as Mateusz Klich and Cayman Togashi, are now being tested. Deila remarked on the opportunity for less frequently played members: “There’s going to be opportunities for players that haven’t played so much.”

Young talents Ashton Gordon, Adyn Torres, and Ronan Wynne joined first-team training for the first time since the season began. Will Reilly's impressive performances in training suggest he might soon get game time, especially with Bartosz Slisz absent.

Defensively, Derrick Williams remains the only available center back for Saturday's game due to several players being away on international duty. Ronald Hernández might fill in if fit.

Xande Silva could see more action with Almirón missing from attack. Silva expressed confidence despite recent missed chances: “That’s life. You cannot be afraid,” he said regarding attacking challenges.

Atlanta United is still refining its attack strategy early in the season. Emmanuel Latte Lath leads in goals scored and has developed strong chemistry with right-back Brooks Lennon: “Even in training, we tried to find the connection,” Latte Lath noted.

As Atlanta United continues to build chemistry within its squad during this transitional period caused by international duties, they remain focused on translating progress into tangible results on the field.
