Atlanta United has launched the third season of its video series "Rooted In The Stripes" on YouTube. This series provides a look into the club's activities both on and off the field, offering exclusive interviews with staff, players, and supporters.
The premiere episode, titled "Daybreak," is an Atlanta United Original produced by the club's video and broadcast team under the direction of Sonya Ivashchenko. It highlights Atlanta United's busy offseason as they prepare for 2025. Following their loss to Orlando City SC in the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2024 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, Atlanta United made significant changes. They appointed a new head coach and sporting director, both recognized for their achievements. Additionally, they signed designated players Miguel Almirón and Emmanuel Latte Lath, whose arrivals are documented in this episode.
“To do all that in the space of December, January, it’s been busy,” said Garth Lagerwey, club president & CEO. “It’s exciting.”
Interviews featured in "Daybreak" include:
- Head coach Ronny Deila
- Chief Soccer Officer & Sporting Director Chris Henderson
- Head of International Player Recruitment & Development Jonathan Spector
- Midfielder Saba Lobjanidze
The 40-minute episode includes footage from preseason training sessions, executive meetings, press conferences, and supporter events.
Season ticket members were given an exclusive preview at Tara Theater on February 17. This historic venue provided a fitting setting for an intimate viewing experience.
"I'm ready to run through a wall after watching that," commented one supporter post-screening. "I'm ready for Saturday, and I'm ready to go."
Fans will soon witness how these offseason changes impact the team as Atlanta United begins its ninth Major League Soccer season against CF Montréal at home on February 22.
