The Georgia Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its 36th Annual Georgia Quail Hunt in Albany, marking a significant event aimed at showcasing the economic advantages of doing business in Georgia. The initiative is designed to attract investment, create jobs, and foster partnerships throughout the state.
Since it began in 1994, the Georgia Quail Hunt has played a crucial role in recruitment for the state, contributing billions of dollars to the economy and generating thousands of jobs. This year's event brought together influential business leaders, economic developers, and state officials committed to promoting Georgia's competitive business climate.
Prominent attendees included Governor Brian P. Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp, Pat Wilson, Commissioner of Economic Development for Georgia, and Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Their participation highlighted strong support at the state level for initiatives that drive business growth.
Over two days, attendees participated in activities demonstrating how Georgia’s favorable tax environment, robust transportation infrastructure, and skilled workforce contribute to its economic success. Jana Dyke, President & CEO of the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission said: “Over the course of the event, we saw firsthand the power of collaboration between public and private sectors.”
