The Atlanta Falcons have experienced a notable decline in their red-zone performance over recent weeks. From Weeks 1-9, the team achieved a 57.1% success rate in scoring touchdowns during red-zone drives, ranking them 13th in the NFL. However, from Weeks 10-13, this rate dropped to 25%, placing them at 31st in the league.

Offensive coordinator Zac Robinson addressed these challenges, stating that the coaching staff is continuously assessing areas for improvement: "There's definitely things that we'll always continue to look at in terms of where we can be better as coaches... But to pinpoint just one simple thing would be kind of out of turn."

Running back Bijan Robinson scored both of the team's recent red-zone touchdowns, yet other opportunities resulted primarily in field-goal attempts. The Falcons' quarterback Kirk Cousins acknowledged difficulties during games: "I just think trying to make something happen can sometimes get you in trouble."

Penalties have also contributed to the team's struggles, with pre-snap penalties impacting several drives. Tight end Kyle Pitts emphasized a focus on correcting mental mistakes: "(We're) just taking it game by game and going into it trying to fix our mental mistakes."

As they prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday, with a record standing at 6-6, Falcons tight ends coach Kevin Koger stressed efficiency and clean play: "When we do cross that 20-yard line, just changing our mentality and just playing clean football."
