Although Atlanta dominated possession and outshot Charlotte, the latter converted four shots on target into three goals. Limiting transition moments for players like Patrick Agyemang and Kerwin Vargas will be crucial for Atlanta's defense.

Additionally, developing offensive chemistry remains a priority for Atlanta. The team has experienced various lineup changes due to injuries, international call-ups, and transfers throughout the season. New signings Alexey Miranchuk and Pedro Amador have shown promise; Miranchuk created two scoring chances and nearly scored himself during his first MLS action, while Amador contributed offensively against LA Galaxy.
