Mayor Andre Dickens of Atlanta has appointed Chris Davis as the Commissioner of the City’s Department of Enterprise Asset Management (DEAM). Davis, who has over two decades of public service experience with the City of Atlanta, most recently served as the Deputy Commissioner of DEAM. The DEAM is responsible for facilities management, technical services, safety, security, and maintaining the City’s real estate portfolio.

Mayor Dickens praised Davis, stating, "Chris Davis not only knows how to deliver on projects large and small—he truly enjoys the work and has the respect of his colleagues." Davis expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "It is both an honor and a blessing to have this opportunity to serve the City of Atlanta in this capacity."

Davis, who began his career at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 2002, has worked his way up through various roles within the City of Atlanta. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Iowa, Davis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position.

DEAM will oversee significant projects funded by three bond measures approved by Atlanta voters in 2022, including the construction of new facilities for AFRD Stations and the replacement of the Grove Park Recreation Center. Among its core responsibilities, DEAM manages facilities, technical services, and the City’s real estate portfolio.

Davis's effective date in his new role as Commissioner of DEAM is Monday, March 18, 2024.
