Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that GreenBox Systems LLC will invest $144 million in a new distribution facility in Jackson, Georgia. This project is expected to create over 300 jobs in Butts County.

"Innovative job creators in every industry continue to choose Georgia, and we're proud GreenBox is adding their name to that long and growing list," stated Governor Kemp. He emphasized the role of local education institutions and workforce development initiatives in attracting new opportunities for Georgians.

The new automated distribution center will be located at The Cubes at RiverPark, covering approximately 1 million square feet. It will employ automation operators, managers, forklift operators, material handlers, shipping and receiving clerks, logistics coordinators, and maintenance technicians. The facility is set to begin operations in late 2025.

Vikas J. Parekh from SoftBank Investment Advisers expressed excitement about bringing AI-powered warehouse services to Georgia. "We are grateful for Governor Kemp’s support and look forward to a long-term partnership with the Butts County community," he said.

GreenBox aims to revolutionize the retail supply chain through its network of automated warehouses using technology from Symbotic Inc., which enhances efficiency and accuracy.

Russ Crumbley of the Butts County Board of Commissioners welcomed GreenBox's arrival as a testament to the county's attractiveness for high-quality industries. Katie Kirkpatrick from the Metro Atlanta Chamber highlighted the impact on regional talent growth.

Elizabeth McLean represented Georgia's Department of Economic Development on this project alongside other local partners. GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson remarked on how AI is transforming logistics while creating skilled jobs.

GreenBox Systems operates under a joint venture between SoftBank Group Corp. and Symbotic Inc., providing AI-powered warehouse automation through an innovative service model.
