The Department of City Planning has announced the commencement of the first round of PLAN A open houses, inviting the public to participate in discussions on land use and the future development of Atlanta.

According to the Department of City Planning, these in-person meetings, scheduled from March 19 through April 16, aim to gather input from residents across various neighborhoods in Atlanta. The focus of these meetings is to allow residents to share their vision for the city's future and provide ideas for updating PLAN A, a 5-year update to the City’s Comprehensive Development Plan.

"The public is invited to attend," stated the Department of City Planning, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in shaping the city's growth and development. They highlighted that "Plan A has an impact on every community, and public participation is essential to updating the plan."

The Comprehensive Development Plan serves as a roadmap for Atlanta's future, outlining the vision, goals, policies, and actions for growth and development. By engaging with the public during these open house meetings, city officials aim to ensure that the updated plan reflects the aspirations and needs of the community.

All meetings are scheduled from 4 PM to 7:30 PM, providing residents with an opportunity to actively participate in the planning process and contribute to the future of Atlanta.
