Atlanta Jazz Festival 2024 Announces Schedule in Piedmont Park for Memorial Day Weekend: May 25-27
The 47th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival is set to take place in Piedmont Park from May 25 to May 27, featuring a diverse lineup of National, International, and Atlanta artists. According to Camille Russell Love, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, attendees can expect an eclectic mix of jazz performances over the weekend.
"We have a fabulous lineup of musicians performing at the 47th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival on Memorial Day Weekend," said Camille Russell Love. "We invite you to experience an eclectic mix of jazz by National artists on Saturday, explore the global sounds of some of the world’s best International artists on Sunday, and discover the latest music from notable Atlanta musicians on Monday."
The festival schedule in Piedmont Park includes performances by artists such as New Jazz Underground, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Paquito D'Rivera, André 3000, and Lizz Wright, among others. Additionally, the Atlanta Jazz Festival will present WCLK At 50 on May 24 to celebrate WCLK 91.9’s 50th Anniversary, featuring Lil John Roberts with an Atlanta All-Star Band at Atlanta Symphony Hall.
To enhance the festival experience, attendees can also enjoy a late-night jazz concert featuring vocalist and composer Lauren Henderson at Park Tavern on May 25. The event will offer a variety of food vendors, shopping opportunities, and a KidZone with games and interactive play for all ages.
For those interested in a VIP experience, reserved tents at The Jazz Spot are available for booking. Local transportation options include a free bike valet and public transportation, as parking on neighborhood streets surrounding the festival is prohibited.
The Atlanta Jazz Festival is presented by the City of Atlanta - Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, aiming to educate and entertain jazz fans while nurturing the next generation of jazz musicians. The festival is funded through corporate sponsorships and Atlanta Jazz Festival Inc, a 501(c)(3) cultural, non-profit organization.
