Atlanta-based Moncrief Heating and Air Conditioning announced in August that they would be acquired by Ace Hardware. Moncrief officials stated that they are excited to continue to support their local community together with Ace.
With a history dating back to 1898, Moncrief Heating & Air Conditioning stands as the oldest heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) company in Atlanta, dedicated to serving the local area, according to the company website. Despite changes over the past 125 years, Moncrief said its commitment to core values remains unchanged. Whether customers seek installation or repair services, Moncrief ensures a commitment to high-quality service, transparent pricing, and the utmost respect for customers.
Moncrief Heating & Air Conditioning recently joined the Ace Hardware family through an acquisition, according to the company website. The companies are aligned in values, purpose, and vision. This collaboration provides an opportunity to combine Moncrief's expertise with the resources of the trusted "Helpful brand." Drawing on Ace Hardware's dedication to helpful service in local communities and its strong focus on customer satisfaction, Moncrief looks forward to maintaining its commitment to delivering HVAC services.
“We are honored to be a part of the Ace team,” Moncrief General Manager Phil Mutz said, according to Rough Draft Atlanta. “While we stick by tried-and-true traditions, we are proud to continually innovate in our business. Ace shares in our mission and values, and they bring a depth of resources that will allow this dedicated team to bring our established level of customer service and quality work to a wider audience and grow the business.”
According to the company website, Phil Mutz, an Atlanta native and Woodward Academy graduate, holds degrees in natural resource management from Colorado State University and refrigeration sciences from Chattahoochee Technical College. Starting as a service technician at Moncrief, he is now the Vice President of Technical Service and is in charge of in-house training and providing support to service and installation technicians. Phil is actively involved in business development, management, and marketing. Committed to a greener future, he seeks holistic solutions, aligning comfort and efficiency.
