ATLANTA — The City of Atlanta has issued a Request for Proposals for the operation of community access media (Comcast Channel 24).

The Request for Proposals is posted on ATLSuppliers.com. Potential applicants are invited to review the documents and submit a proposal by Thursday, Aug. 3, at 2:00 p.m.

The City will hold a pre-bid conference for potential applicants on Wednesday, June 28, at 10:00 a.m.

Earlier this year, the City conducted a Request for Information to seek public input on the future of community access media in Atlanta. Through that process, which included two public meetings, the City received more than 100 pages of testimony and written comments from dozens of community members. That feedback was used to inform the development of the Request for Proposals.

Additional information, including the comments received through the Request for Information, is available at www.atlantaga.gov/CommunityMedia.
