It has been a big month for 17-year-old Caleb Wiley. He signed with the Atlanta United Football Club on Jan. 18, and then earlier this week was selected to join the United States under-20 men's national team for the second time.

Wiley is currently attending training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, until Feb. 2, Atlanta United reported on their website. The team is preparing for the 2022 Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football U-20 championship this summer. That tournament will serve as a qualifier for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

"It just keeps getting better for Caleb Wiley," Atlanta United posted on Twitter.

Wiley also played with the U-20 team in November at the Revelations Cup in Celaya, Mexico. The defender started two matches and played in another against the Brazil U-18 squad, Columbia U-19 and Mexico U-20. He was also on the U.S. U-17 team, Atlanta United reported.

Wiley was signed to a homegrown contract through the 2025 season, which includes a 2026 club option, Atlanta United reported. For the past two seasons he has played with Atlanta United 2 and has been a member of the Atlanta United Academy since he was 11.

Wiley made his professional debut on July 11, 2020, with Atlanta United 2 and was the youngest player in the history of the club to play at the age of 15 years and 206 days, Atlanta United reported.

With Atlanta United 2, Wiley started all 11 games he played in 2020, finishing with a club-high 25 interceptions over 910 minutes logged, Atlanta United reported. He started all 22 matches in 2021, with 1,877 minutes played. He had his first career assist on June 6, 2021.
