Atlanta Technical College issued the following announcement on July 21.
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is bridging the opportunity gap for incoming students for the fall semester by covering their remaining balances. Students must apply and be accepted, complete the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and provide any required additional information, submit an ATC Authorization Form, and register for classes by August 6, 2021.
“Our high-demand career programs are covered by the HOPE Grant and the HOPE Career Grant, and many resources have been available for several years, but we haven’t had students in our communities take advantage of these resources,” said ATC President Dr. Victoria Seals. “Through the generosity of our philanthropic family, we are able to support our students with gap funding to literally ‘bridge the gap’ between finances and opportunity. Along with eligible financial aid and that gap funding, we have resources to allow students to re-engage for the fall semester, essentially eliminating cost as a barrier.”
Atlanta Technical College is celebrating its 55th year as a conduit for transforming the lives of its students, with a focus on ending generational poverty. The College has a regional economic impact of over $200 million and boasts a 99 percent placement rate for its graduates. When students leave the College, they are prepared for the workforce and are poised to begin high-paying careers in lucrative industries such as transportation and logistics, healthcare, bioscience, business, culinary arts, cosmetology and barbering, cybersecurity, media and entertainment, HVAC, plumbing, construction, diesel mechanics, and many more.
