Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Atlanta Metropolitan State College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $3,416 to attend the four-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 189.2 percent more than residents this year, or $9,880. Their price tag was unchanged from $9,880 in 2017-18.

About 92 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents. About 6 percent are residents of other states and 2 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 186 students received grants or scholarships totaling $997,679 and 48 students took out student loans totaling more than $163,894.

Including all undergraduates (2,187), 1,796 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7 million, and 755 students took out $3.3 million in federal student loans.
