22 percent of applicants to the Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus were admitted for fall 2018

At the Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Atlanta enrolled 32,723 students in fall 2018, including 16,049 in undergraduate and 16,674 in graduate programs, data shows. 4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

51 percent of undergraduates are residents of Georgia, and 37 percent are residents of other states. 12 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (47 percent) and Asian (22 percent).

The school admitted 22 percent of the 35,644 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 41 percent enrolled.
