FIFA has announced that Atlanta will host six matches of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, as part of the official match schedule unveiled after the tournament's draw in Miami on December 5. The matches will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including a quarterfinal game.

The tournament will feature top clubs from each of the six confederations and is scheduled to take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The matches hosted in Atlanta include three group stage games: Chelsea versus Club Leon on June 16, Inter Miami against FC Porto on June 19, and Manchester City facing Al Ain FC on June 22. Additionally, two Round of 16 matches are set for June 29 and July 1, with a quarterfinal match occurring on July 5.

Dietmar Exler, Chief Operating Officer at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, expressed enthusiasm for hosting such a significant event: "Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz Stadium were made to host the world’s biggest events. We are eager to again bring our innovative venue, unique fan experience, and southern hospitality to a global stage." He added anticipation for welcoming players and fans alike to Atlanta.

Dan Corso, President of both the Atlanta Sports Council and Atlanta World Cup Host Committee, noted the honor in being selected by FIFA: “We are honored that FIFA has once again placed its trust in Atlanta and invited us to be a part of this new era for the FIFA Club World Cup." He highlighted it as recognition of their committee's efforts and expressed excitement about showcasing Atlanta as an international soccer hub ahead of the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

The upcoming tournaments provide an opportunity for Atlanta to demonstrate its status as a premier soccer market globally. This event is one among several major sports events planned for the city over the next few years including national championships across different sports disciplines.
