Despite participating in practice sessions, Atlanta Falcons inside linebacker Troy Andersen was listed as inactive for the team's Week 9 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Andersen, who was initially questionable due to a knee injury sustained in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints, had been a limited participant in two practices and fully participated on Friday.

The Falcons have faced challenges with their linebacker depth, particularly with JD Bertrand out all week due to a concussion. In response, they signed Rashaan Evans to the active roster on Saturday to support starters Kaden Elliss and Nate Landman.

Meanwhile, starting right guard Chris Lindstrom is set to play after being listed as questionable. Lindstrom suffered a knee injury during last Sunday's game against Tampa Bay but expressed confidence in his ability to return for Week 9. Head coach Raheem Morris indicated that Lindstrom could have re-entered last week's game but was held out as a precaution.

The complete list of inactive players for the Falcons' Week 9 matchup includes running back Jase McClellan, inside linebackers JD Bertrand and Troy Andersen, defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus, offensive linemen Jovaughn Gwyn and Elijah Wilkinson, and tackle Brandon Parker.
