AMB Sports and Entertainment has announced that Chris Millman, Senior Vice President of Community Engagement and Sports Philanthropy, is the Atlanta Falcons' nominee for the 2024 Salute to Service Award presented by USAA. This award recognizes individuals within the NFL who show exceptional dedication to honoring and supporting the military community.

Millman has prioritized supporting active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families. Under his leadership for over a decade, the Falcons have collaborated with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), offering support to those grieving a military loss. The team has hosted TAPS families on VIP trips to Atlanta, away games, and international events. Domestically, Millman has organized visits to military bases in Washington, Arizona, Florida, and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C.

The Falcons established the Veterans Community Fund under Millman's guidance. This associate-led committee focuses on helping veterans transition successfully after service by distributing $1 million in grants annually. Millman also spearheaded engagements with the USO through various team trips to bases around the world. These efforts have included visits by executives, players, and staff to countries such as Bulgaria, Germany, Guam, Hawaii, Iraq, Kuwait, and Romania. Recently, Millman led an initiative providing a $1 million grant to the USO for establishing centers on all U.S. Aircraft Carriers.

For a third year running, fans can influence who wins the Salute to Service Award presented by USAA by voting at nfl.com/salutefanvote starting November 1st. Voting will continue throughout November with finalists chosen based on fan votes alongside input from an NFL internal committee and USAA. The final winner will be selected from three finalists by a Salute to Service panel.
