The Atlanta Falcons have teamed up with Truist for a series aimed at introducing fans to the limited partners of the franchise. Over the next 11 weeks, AtlantaFalcons.com will feature a Q&A session with each of the 11 limited partners. These discussions will cover business advice, favorite memories related to the team, and more.

This week highlights Dominique Dawes, a three-time Olympic gymnast and gold medalist. Dawes is also the owner and CEO of Dominique Dawes Gymnastics & Ninja Academies. Her focus has been on educating families, women, and young girls about physical and mental health issues. She has served as a national ambassador for various non-profits and corporations and was co-chair of the President's Council for Fitness, Sports and Nutrition from 2010-16.

Dawes was recently inducted into the Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame in Fall 2023. She graduated from the University of Maryland/College Park and joined UMD's Hall of Fame in 2022. In 2024, Montgomery County, Maryland plans to honor her legacy with a life-size statue.

When asked why she became a limited partner with the Falcons organization, Dawes said: "After winning gold at the 1996 Summer Olympics, Atlanta has always felt like a second home to me... Having a chance to re-connect with the city of Atlanta and to join an ownership group that strives to win on and off the field is something that I am passionate about."

Dawes shared her favorite memory related to the Falcons: "I have so many memories... but the most recent three comeback wins... were incredible." She enjoys creating new memories every game day with her children.

Reflecting on her career achievements, Dawes stated: "Many would say that being a trailblazer... but I would say what makes me most proud... I gained grit, resiliency and perseverance."

Discussing what makes Atlanta special, she noted: "For me it's the people, culture, energy and diversity."

On personal influences, Dawes highlighted her Catholic faith as providing direction during difficult times: "It sustained me through a tough childhood home life..."

Professionally influenced by others' stories including Mr. Blank's story when starting The Home Depot after setbacks: "...his story taught me that even though we will experience setbacks... it doesn't have to stop us from pursuing our dreams."

Her favorite player remains Darrell Green from Washington Redskins fame who taught her about prioritizing faith and family.
