Following the MLS match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Atlanta United Special Olympics Unified Team faced Nashville SC. After a scoreless first half, the second half provided an exciting 30 minutes of soccer and concluded with an Atlanta United Unified victory.

The 3-2 win on Saturday night marked the end of Atlanta United's Unified season, securing one of the best runs in program history. For the second consecutive season, the team remained unbeaten.

Xavier 'X-Man' Hairston broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with a powerful left-footed shot. Celebrating by mimicking first-team player Saba Lobjanidze's "Saba Time" celebration, Hairston was met with chants from supporters. Nashville equalized in the 42nd minute and took the lead shortly after with a goal in a one-on-one situation against Atlanta’s goalkeeper.

Facing adversity, Atlanta United Unified equalized through Daniel Urshansky’s impressive strike. Savion Brown secured the game-winner in the 58th minute with a low shot that trickled past Nashville’s goalkeeper. The team then maintained a strong defensive stance to preserve their lead.

The crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium showed enthusiastic support throughout, waving flags and chanting for Unified players. Key performances included Joe Villar's evasive moves, Kelly Robinson's creativity, and Dee Harden's crucial saves as goalkeeper.

Despite a tough night for Atlanta United’s first team following their loss at home, several players stayed to watch and support the Unified match. Brad Guzan conducted an on-field interview at halftime while Tyler Wolff and Noah Cobb interacted with Unified players.

Sportsmanship was evident between both teams; notably when Steff Walker of Atlanta United and a Nashville defender shook hands after colliding into signage behind the goal. Post-match celebrations included medal presentations and group photos.

This final match capped off an unbeaten season for Atlanta United Unified Team in 2024, marking two consecutive seasons without a loss – a first in program history.
