Since the last update on Tuesday, significant developments have occurred regarding the offensive issues of the Falcons. Raheem Morris, Zac Robinson, and Kirk Cousins have addressed these concerns, explaining both the problems and their strategies for improvement.

Bill W. from Killan, Alabama raised questions about Kirk Cousins' mental health post-injury. Tori McElhaney responded by referencing her previous comments on Cousins' mental state and his capacity to trust a surgically repaired ligament. She noted that Cousins himself stated any hesitation seen in his game was not related to his Achilles injury but rather to reacclimating to game flow. "I feel good," Cousins said during a press conference on Thursday. "It could have been just trying to get the laces or whatever it may be. But, no, the Achilles feels good, and I feel like I can move and push as I normally would."

Chris S. from Marietta, Georgia questioned the offense's ability to perform against the Eagles. McElhaney acknowledged the lackluster performance in Week 1 but suggested reserving judgment until improvements are visible on the field. She pointed out that while Green Bay lost to Philadelphia, they still managed to gain 414 yards of total offense against the Eagles' defense.

Alex C. from Detroit, Michigan inquired about the impact of Jessie Bates III and Justin Simmons on opposing quarterbacks' decisions. McElhaney referenced Arthur Smith's remarks highlighting how Bates' presence influenced their strategy to avoid passing downfield where he could make an impact. "The plan -- maybe it's because I coached Jessie and I got so much respect for Jessie Bates -- but that guy is a game wrecker," Smith said via ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

Smith further compared Bates' potential impact to T.J. Watt's disruptive influence in another game, emphasizing that their goal was to neutralize Bates by keeping the ball away from him—a goal they achieved according to Smith.

Questions for future Falcons Mailbox editions can be submitted for inclusion every Tuesday and Friday.
