The Atlanta Falcons have signed offensive tackle Brandon Parker, the team announced on Tuesday.
Parker, a 2018 third-round draft pick, has spent his entire career with the Las Vegas Raiders. Drafted when the Raiders were still based in Oakland, California, Parker remained with the team following its relocation to Las Vegas.
Parker's professional record includes 33 starts and 59 game appearances, along with two fumble recoveries. He participated in at least 11 games each season from 2018 to 2021, peaking at 882 (77%) offensive snaps in 2021 and reaching a low of 193 (28%) offensive snaps in 2019. Parker missed the entire 2022 season due to injury but returned in 2023 for five games, contributing to 14 (4%) offensive snaps. He was elevated from the practice squad three times before being signed to the active roster.
Following the conclusion of the 2023 league year, Parker became a free agent and subsequently signed with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2024 preseason. Despite remaining through training camp, he did not make it onto their final 53-man roster.
The Falcons did not need to make any corresponding moves as they had only 52 players on their active roster prior to this transaction. Parker’s addition brings them up to their maximum of 53 players without necessitating any releases.
