Atlanta United 2 continues its three-match road trip on Sunday night when it travels to Finley Stadium to take on independent club Chattanooga FC on Sept. 1. The match is slated to kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed on Apple TV – MLS Season Pass. Fans can also tune in to the Soccer Down Here audio stream.

Chattanooga FC enters the match sitting in 8th place in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference standings with 35 points (7-8-8 record) and a -1 goal differential. In its last five matches, Chattanooga boasts a 1-2-2 record with eight goals conceded. For Atlanta to go on the road and pick up points, it will need to stay balanced against an older roster while keeping close watch out for offensive leaders Mehdi Ouarmi, who has netted 10 goals this season, and winger Taylor Gray who leads the squad in assists with six.

ATL UTD 2 opened its road trip with a 4-1 loss to Carolina Core FC on Wednesday, Aug. 28. The home side was able to break through within two minutes of kickoff from a corner kick opportunity. Atlanta equalized in the 38th with a set piece goal of its own. Matías Gallardo sent a ball to the middle of the penalty area to meet the left foot of Dudley who slipped a shot under an on-rushing Alex Sutton. Three minutes into first-half stoppage time, ATL UTD 2 defender Efraín Morales picked up his second yellow of the match after getting tangled up with a Core attacker as the two were chasing a ball played over Atlanta’s defense. Carolina claimed another two goals in the second half, coming in the 57th minute and 90th minute.

Atlanta United 2 holds a 1-0-1 (W-L-D) all-time record against Chattanooga FC. The last matchup between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw at Finley Stadium on May 25, with Chattanooga walking away with an extra point after winning the shootout 5-3. Luke Brennan and Javier Armas each scored for Atlanta.
