ATLANTA—Mayor Andre Dickens expressed his condolences on the passing of former ARC Board member & Co-Chair Randall Hayes. In a statement, the Mayor said, “My thoughts are with the family and friends of Randy Hayes, who recently passed. Randy was a strong supporter of the Atlanta region, economic development and southside communities, serving on many boards including the Fayette County Development Authority and the Clayton State University Foundation. He provided excellent leadership and support for workforce programs and services in the region. Randy was a consistent presence and steady advisor over the past 20 years through staff, board and significant law/program changes."
Mayor Dickens also highlighted Hayes' personal qualities, stating, "His engaging personality and uncanny ability to connect with people made him a natural leader and friend to all. Randy has left his mark on the work we do in the Atlanta region and will be truly missed."
