State Representative Gary Richardson (R-Evans) has been sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 2023-2024 legislative term. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, marking the beginning of Rep. Richardson's first term in the Georgia General Assembly.

"I am honored to have been elected to serve the people of the 125th House District," expressed Rep. Richardson. He further added, "As a former county commissioner for our district, I promise to continue the fight for conservative values in our great state and deliver positive results for the citizens of Columbia and McDuffie counties."

Rep. Richardson brings experience from his previous role as the Columbia County Commissioner for district three, where he served for eight years. Following a special election to succeed former State Rep. Barry Fleming (R-Harlem), Rep. Richardson was appointed to the House Public Health, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and Transportation committees.
