"It's been more than a year since we sent the John R. Lewis: Freedom to Vote Act to the Senate. Let's be clear about what happened: the Senate protected the Jim Crow-era filibuster over voting rights.
We lost an opportunity but we can't stop fighting for the sacred right to vote."
