Derin Dickerson, partner in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Commercial Law Section of the National Bar Association.
Based in Alston & Bird’s Atlanta office, Dickerson concentrates his practice on complex litigation matters with an emphasis on class action defense and data privacy litigation. He has extensive experience in a number of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, and consumer products, and is a frequent speaker on topics relating to data privacy and class action litigation.
Cari Dawson, of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group and co-chair of the Class Action & Multidistrict Litigation Team, recently rolled off the Executive Committee after serving since 2014.
The National Bar Association’s Commercial Law Section is focused on serving the community, expanding the pipeline of African Americans entering the legal profession, and creating business development opportunities among its members and beyond.
