Boys & Girls Clubs of America announced the official launch of its partnership with Q5id Guardian to support safety in local Clubs nationwide. Q5id, Inc. created the new Q5id Guardian app to revolutionize how missing people are found through immediate, localized alerts at the tap of a button.
Q5id Guardian will directly support Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s efforts to further strengthen safety policies, procedures, and leadership at the local Club level via development of leadership training and the premier sponsorship of Safety Summit.
The safety of young people at Boys & Girls Clubs is always a top priority. Youth who are mentally and physically safe are better able to learn, grow, and thrive. Boys & Girls Clubs of America works continuously to enhance safety policies, practices, and trainings to ensure they are centered on the needs of young people.
Together, the youth organization will work with Q5id Guardian to develop a safety leadership training program for Club safety professionals, managers, executives, and safety committee members. This program will equip Club executives with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of strategic thinking, leadership and planning to establish a safety management model for continuous improvement. Participants will enhance their safety leadership capacity, their teams will see improved alignment around goals, and their organization will be able to address real-life challenges through transformational approaches in safety management.
“In 2021 alone, over 360,000 children were reported missing,” says Q5id CEO Steve Larson. “We understand the need for an app like Q5id Guardian to help protect our nation's most precious population, children. The partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America allows us to become a first line of defense and offer the best possible solution to help protect the youth that the Clubs serve.”
Keeping the more than 4 million youth Boys & Girls Clubs serve each year safe and protected, both physically and emotionally, is our absolute highest priority. Boys & Girls Clubs of America works continuously to enhance robust safety policies and actions to support the safety of young people in Clubs. As part of this commitment, we partner with leading experts in the fields of youth safety, abuse prevention and child mental health to ensure that all Boys & Girls Clubs provide best-in-class programs, protocols, staff trainings and practices for Club members.
“There is nothing more important to Boys & Girls Clubs of America than the safety and well-being of youth and Club staff,” said Mike Belcher, National Vice President of Child & Club Safety, Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “We know kids and teens thrive when they are in physically and mentally safe spaces to learn and grow and we are honored to partner with Q5id Guardian to strengthen the protection and safety for every child who walks through our doors.”
